WVC at Omak Foundation awards scholarships for 2011-12

The Wenatchee Valley College at Omak Foundation awarded eight $500 scholarships to students attending WVC at Omak fall quarter 2011 and one $500 matching scholarship to a student attending winter quarter 2012.

Franklin Allen Memorial Scholarship Fund: Leonard Simpson, Omak

Stan Berg Memorial Scholarship Fund: Brianna Ellis, Omak; Katelyn Brown, Okanogan

Omak Foundation Scholarship Fund: Adriana Gomez, Brewster

The American Association of University Women and WVC at Omak Foundation matching scholarship: Norma Corrales, Malott

The WVC at Omak Foundation board members and donors recognize the many challenges that students face when they balance life, work and school. The Foundation strives to provide more than just scholarships, such as funding for travel and commuting costs, and for textbooks, class materials and other education-related expenses.
